PICACHO PARK

The United Nations Park "Cerro El Picacho" is a national park located 6 kilometers from downtown Tegucigalpa, offering the best view of the city. A unique experience to enjoy nature, as it has a large green space, an impressive viewpoint overlooking the city, the statue of Cristo del Picacho, the Confucius Park and the zoo. In addition, it offers facilities for bicycle rental, zip lining and water fountains for children.

LA LEONA PARK

Of the old parks of Tegucigalpa, one of the favorite by most is La Leona, a park built since the early twentieth century and retains the charm with which it was built, this park has a basketball court, a perimeter path and others that cross it radially, perhaps the most impressive of the park are the views that can be seen so many know it as the Mirador de la Leona.

MILITARY HISTORY MUSEUM

The Francisco Morazán Military Museum was founded in 1983. The building began to be constructed in 1592, with the name of Convento de San Diego, and houses an extraordinary history, since it was here where the first stamp and printing press were installed. In addition, the first and second military school and the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) were located in the San Francisco Barracks. Its collection includes a selection of personal items and photographs of illustrious military heroes and strong men of Honduras. Documents, weapons, antique objects (XVII and XVIII centuries) that show the existence of the cacicazgo in Honduras and the military history from the XIX to the XX century.

CENTRAL PARK

The Park or Central Plaza of Tegucigalpa, 447 years old, popularly known as the Center, is an attractive site for its rich history and thanks to its commercial activity has become one of the busiest places in the Honduran capital. This historic square located in the center of the city is a must for tourists. When you get there, you will feel transported to another era, with its statue of Francisco Morazán and the colonial cathedral that offers a spectacular view.

LOS DOLORES PARK

A visit to this park is a unique experience, surrounded by a beautiful church, a market and handicraft stores. One of its main attractions is the statue of St. Michael the Archangel that is located in the park. The Los Dolores Church is a sample of the work and beauty of the indigenous people, besides having a beautiful image of the Dolorosa. Right next to it there is a market that offers food at good prices. This plaza also offers the opportunity to learn about the Spanish colonial past and the challenging urban planning that can be seen throughout the city.

MUSEUM OF MAN

This is an art museum in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The museum was founded in 1989 and is dedicated to preserving and disseminating Honduran cultural heritage and identity. The museum has three exhibition halls with a collection of Honduran works of art including sculpture, ceramics and oil paintings. It also includes the Reina Sofia Library, dedicated to artistic literature.
